The Senior Cloud Engineer provides Infrastructure-based consulting services to our business units both within RAC and world-wide by developing technology solutions within defined budget and business requirements. Primarily responsible for the strategic implementation of new technology solutions that improve business efficiency while meeting corporate business goals.
Requires minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology and AWS Cloud Infrastructure support.
Responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of Infrastructure systems including Applications, services, servers, management tools, performance tools in AWS Cloud Identify, analyze, define, and coordinate user, customer and stakeholder needs and translates them into technical requirements.
Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company. Typically manages several projects at a time with limited supervision. Work is performed with general direction and is reviewed periodically throughout the assignment and at major milestones for policy compliance and alignment with project requirements.
In-depth project management skills; task-focused and results-oriented delivery.
In-depth experience with an operating system environment.
Working knowledge of enterprise storage environments:
In-depth knowledge of authentication and directory services (Active Directory), etc.
In-depth knowledge with Windows system management tools, philosophies, and methods In-depth understanding of Windows automation (scripting, imaging, installation, management)
In-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking (DNS, DHCP, RAS, VPN).
Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3
Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Cloudtrail, Guardduty.
An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
Experience with of security best practices (e.g., using IAM Roles, KMS, Secrets Managers, etc.)
Hands-on experience with AWS networking components (VPC, Transit gateway, Load Balancers etc.) Hands-on experience with AWS security components (Security Groups, firewalls etc.)
