DCM Infotech Ltd. is currently hiring for MS SQL Database Administrator L1 role for Delhi location.

Job Title: MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA)

Job Summary :-

We are seeking an experienced MS SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our Microsoft SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases, as well as managing database backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

Key Responsibilities :-

Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances (including AlwaysOn, clustering, and replication setups).
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
Manage database security (users, roles, privileges).
Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Troubleshoot database-related issues including deadlocks, slow queries, and connectivity problems.
Automate routine database administration tasks using PowerShell, T-SQL, or other scripting tools.
Monitor database health, usage, and growth to ensure efficient performance and scalability.
Develop and maintain documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
Support database development and design by working with developers to optimize queries and stored procedures.
Apply patches and updates to database servers in coordination with the IT team.
Ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR).

Qualifications :-

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in a production environment.
Strong proficiency in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
Expertise in T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Experience with high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) solutions.
Familiarity with Azure SQL, SQL Managed Instances, or hybrid cloud database environments is a plus.
Experience with performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications :-

Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or other SQL-related Microsoft certifications
