Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with 4+ years of hands-on experience to maintain, optimize, and secure our enterprise network infrastructure. In this role, you will be directly responsible for managing Cisco switches (Catalyst/Nexus), configuring and hardening Fortinet Firewalls, and managing F5 Local Traffic Managers (LTM) for high availability, application traffic distribution, and SSL offloading. You will ensure high network availability, implement robust security policies, handle L2/L3 escalations, and support seamless connectivity across data center and office locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Routing & Switching (Cisco): Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, routers, VLANs, Trunking, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP).

• Firewall & Security Management (Fortinet): Administer FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Create, audit, and optimize security policies, NAT rules, IPS/IDS signatures, and Site-to-Site / Remote Access IPsec & SSL VPN tunnels.

• Application Delivery & Load Balancing (F5): Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot F5 LTM/GTM modules. Handle virtual servers, pool members, health monitors, iRules, and SSL certificate management/offloading.

• Operations & Incident Escalation: Act as a tier-2/tier-3 escalation point for network outages, performance bottlenecks, and security alerts; perform packet captures (Wireshark) and root-cause analysis (RCA).

• Upgrades & Compliance: Perform regular firmware upgrades, vulnerability patching, backup restorations, and change management in alignment with ITIL framework standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years in network administration, switching, load balancing, and network security roles.

• Technical Hardware Expertise:

  • Switching: Cisco Catalyst 3850/9300, Nexus 5K/7K/9K.

  • Firewalls: Fortinet FortiGate (FortiOS).

  • Load Balancers: F5 BIG-IP LTM (Local Traffic Manager).

• Core Protocols: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, STP, VRRP/HSRP, LACP, DNS, DHCP, IPsec/SSL VPNs.

• Shift Readiness: Comfortable working in rotational shifts or providing on-call support for critical network incidents.
